Sturgeon teachers know that they wouldn’t be as successful as they are today if it weren’t for the influence of great teachers. That’s why teachers with Sturgeon Local No. 27 were busy writing thank-you cards for World Teachers’ Day, October 5.
Teachers created 300 cards to communicate their appreciation for their past teachers. Many Sturgeon teachers had to work hard to track down their past teachers, while others had an easier time of it. Some cards were delivered across hallways, with past students now working as teachers, often in the same school, while other cards were mailed long distances.
Sturgeon teachers thank teachers for their amazing examples and dedication to the teaching profession. Local No. 27 salutes all teaching professionals from Sturgeon and around the world, as we all celebrate a profession that makes a world of difference one student at a time.
