Although the responsibility for education lies with the provinces and territories, federal government policies on a wide range of issues have direct influence on the classroom. The Canadian Teachers’ Federation (CTF) asked federal party leaders to answer questions related to education, children and youth. The questions and party leaders’ responses are posted on the CTF website (www.ctf-fce.ca).
CTF believes that strong social cohesion for all Canadians is an investment in the long-term prosperity of Canada. Investing in children and families is the most effective way to develop active and engaged citizens who will contribute to the social and economic health of our country. Please discuss these education related issues with candidates in your federal riding and seek their views.
