Forty-seven years ago, students attending Esther School, in Esther, Alberta, dressed up in clown costumes made by their mothers and performed in the school’s annual Christmas concert.
The school and community were named after Esther Olsen, daughter of the community’s first postmaster. Esther School closed in 1969.
