Outstanding principals recognized

Carol Johnson of Innisfail Middle School in Innisfail and Fay Kerwood of Monterey Park Elementary School in Calgary are among 30 principals from across Canada named as Outstanding Principals in Canada by the Learning Partnership, a nonprofit group of business, education, government and labour leaders that supports public education in Canada. Johnson and Kerwood were inducted into the National Academy of Principals and spent five days in February at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, where they undertook studies in leadership training. The Learning Partnership program is a unique program that recognizes the crucial role principals play in the country’s publicly funded school system.
