Last year, 8.8 million families around the world lost a child under the age of five. That’s 24,000 children who died every day from pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria or poor nutrition. World Vision is tackling the issue of child health through its Youth Empowered program. The program equips youth to take action on global issues by sharpening their leadership skills. The one-day conference will be held February 11, in Edmonton. This year, Youth Empowered will focus on child health and what young people can do to change the course of history.
