If one Scotland Yard police officer has his way, primary school children in Britain who “exhibit behaviour indicating they may become criminals in later life” will have their DNA put in a database. The DNA of 1.5 million people (ages 10–18) is already in a British database. Police in Britain have the authority to collect DNA from anyone over the age of 10 who is arrested—regardless of his or her innocence or guilt.
