ATA Professional Development for principals
Alberta Education’s Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy requires principals to work together with their school authorities, superintendents and teachers to ensure that all teachers under their supervision maintain a level of practice consistent with Alberta’s Teaching Quality Standard.
The Member Services program area of the Alberta Teachers’ Association offers a two-day, no-fee workshop to principals interested in learning tips and strategies to assist in the development and implementation of effective teacher growth, supervision and evaluation policy.
Developed by the executive staff officers of Member Services, Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation is one of more than 30 workshops and presentations that the Association has created to support teachers and principals in their dealings with legal, employment and emerging issues.
