a) the bill is referred to a nonpartisan committee that has equal representation from each political party with representation in the House and that uses a consensus-building model for decision making;
b) the bill is amended to ensure that Elections Canada’s educational programming, including full funding in support of civic education and the Student Vote program, be maintained; and
c) the bill is amended to allow for voter identification cards to be included in the current list of valid identification.

1. prototyping does not add to teacher workload,
2. disruption to student learning as a result of prototyping projects is minimized,
3. funding for prototyping projects is not obtained from any resources currently allocated to support classrooms, and
4. the pre-eminence of teacher voice is recognized in the development of curriculum prototypes.
