Kurtis McKinney, a cancer survivor and alumnus of Viking School, visited the school September 27 to discuss his battle with osteosarcoma (the same type of cancer that Terry Fox had). McKinney spoke to students about his illness, treatment and recovery, answered students’ questions and talked about Terry Fox. The following week, students participated in the annual Terry Fox Run.
