Reading buddies share a story at Athabasca Delta Community School in Fort Chipewyan. The reading program celebrates literacy in the Northlands School Division No. 61 by pairing older students with younger counterparts. Involved in the program are Grade 6/7 teacher Robert Stepaniuk, an experienced Alberta teacher from Penticton, B.C., and first-year Alberta teacher Rachel Lobel, who hails from St. John’s, N.L.
