Registrations open for global citizenship institute
The Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC) in partnership with the Centre for Global Citizenship Education and Research (CGCER) at the University of Alberta will be hosting the second Global Citizenship Summer Institute from Aug. 10 to 14.
The week-long institute is an opportunity for educators from across Alberta to learn more about global citizenship and how to effectively integrate it into their classrooms and school environments.
The registration deadline is July 17. More information is available at www.acgc.ca or by emailing gcsi@acgc.ca.
Stories and photos wanted
The ATA News is always on the lookout for interesting articles, photos and cartoons. Articles should not exceed 500 words and should be accompanied by a short byline, stating where you work and what you teach. Photos of teachers or students participating in interesting activities are welcome, as are cartoons. Don’t forget to include photo captions.
