Guard of honour for the world’s water

August 26, 2014

Environmental stewardship, global citizenship and collaborating with peers kept students from three Edmonton high schools busy for four days in August as they learned about worldwide water issues. Fourteen students from McNally, M.E. LaZerte and Queen Elizabeth high schools participated in a program offered by the Palisades Stewardship Education Centre, in Jasper National Park. The program offers students opportunities to explore and deepen their understanding of water, to think critically about environmental issues and to participate in experiential learning. Students also participated in a video conference with students from Alpine School Campus, in Australia.
