Each September, Edwin Parr Composite School (EPC), in Athabasca, participates in the annual Terry Fox Run to raise money for cancer research. This year was no exception, as more than 600 students and staff tied on their runners to raise more than $3,000.
Special thanks to Mrs. Francis for starting the tradition; Ms Gerlach for assuming responsibility for the event; EPC administration for encouraging the event; all the patient automobile drivers in Athabasca who encountered EPC students and staff on the roads; Mr. Beamish and the student union for providing music and hotdogs; and all the staff and students of EPC who raised funds for the Terry Fox Run.
