Drayton Valley runs for the cure

October 9, 2012

Was it the hustle of last-minute harvest or the smell of Thanksgiving preparations, or did H.W. Pickup Junior High School experience a full moon last week? The Drayton Valley school’s Huskies were howling to know the final results of the
Terry Fox Run.

  • Which class raised the most money toward cancer research? Miss Gallant’s 8A class raised $2,183.
  • What was the final tally for total donations this year? $8,348
  • Did we reach our goal? Yes! We blew last year’s total of $5,390 out of the park.

Congratulations to everyone who helped put H.W. Pickup on the Drayton Valley map once again with its efforts to find a cure for cancer.
