Students from Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Fairview, Sexsmith and Spirit River raised $41,200 in November for Habitat for Humanity. Students held multicultural food fairs, dances and penny drives. The ATA local donated $500. Each Habitat home project requires $100,000 in cash for purchasing materials. The home lots are being donated by the city of Grande Prairie and the town of Fairview. The Habitat for Humanity districtwide service project is an initiative of Russ Snoble, district religious education consultant.
