Tenielle (left) and Mackenzie spread pink icing on their “peace cakes” as part of Pink Shirt Day activities held February 29 at École Secondaire Beaumont Composite High School, in Beaumont. Students decorated sweet treats to give as peace offerings or signs of appreciation. The school’s Gay Straight Alliance coordinated events throughout the lunch hour to focus attention on bullying.

The last Wednesday of February has been designated Pink Shirt Day to raise awareness of bullying.
