Calgary school helps students in Africa

Students attending Ashallaja School in Ghana display materials bought with donations from Calgary’s Glamorgan Elementary School.

 Thanks to the generosity of students, parents and a local business, Glamorgan Elementary School, in Calgary, raised more than $285 for a school in Africa ("Glamorgan Elementary School helps students in Africa," ATA News, March 27, 2007). The Canadian Teachers’ Federation, of which the Alberta Teachers’ Association is a member, delivered the funds directly to Ashallaja School, in Ghana.
