Green Street: Helping the planet one classroom at a time

Green Street provides teachers with opportunities to enhance their classrooms and challenge their students to think critically about environmental learning and sustainability, and to support them in making the leap from ideas to action. Green Street is a national program managed by Learning for a Sustainable Future. Green Street provides credible, accessible and affordable programs that are curriculum-linked, encourage a sense of personal responsibility for the environment, foster a commitment to sustainable living and promote an enduring dedication to environmental stewardship. All programs are curriculum aligned; action oriented and require minimal teacher preparation. To find out about programs available for classrooms in Alberta, visit Green Street’s website (www.green-street.ca) or contact Allison Freeman by e-mail at afreeman@green-street.ca or by telephone (toll-free) at 1-877-250-8201.
